It is about an event that took place on August 11th 1999.
The next solar eclipse will be on 20th November 2020 but will only be visible in Chile and Argentina. The next best viewing in the UK will be partial, on 10th June 2021, with 30% in South-east England and 50% in N Scotland.
In 2081 the Channel Islands will have a good one and the UK next in 2090
