Two players have played for both clubs in an FA Cup Final fixture;
Francis Birley of Oxford University v The Wanderers in 1873 (lost 0-2) and vice versa in 1877 (won 2-1).
John Reynolds played for both Aston Villa in 1892, losing to West Bromwich Albion 0-3 at the Oval on March 19th. THEN
he played for Aston Villa v WBA on April 20th 1895 winning the FA Cup 1-0 at Crystal Palace.
The Villa displayed the "Little Tin Idol" in a local boot and show maker in Birmingham, from where it was stolen and never recovered.
Today Oliver Giroud and David Luis should achieve this moment in history.

Frank Bartlett was my Uncle, I enjoyed reading your article about him and watching for another time the video of his goal in the FA Cup. Frank was actually one of twelve children, six of his brothers grew up into adulthood and also two of his sisters. Thanks for the interesting blog post.
