KCOM STADIUM Capacity: 25,586 (all seated)The Club moved to the MKM Stadium in December 2002 after leaving their former Boothferry Park home where they had been resident for 56 years. The MKM Stadium is home to both Hull Football and Rugby League Clubs.

Club Nickname: The Tigers
Year Opened: 2002
Pitch Size: 114 x 78 yards

When league football resumed agfter the War in 1946, the club moved into the newly built Boothberry Park. First planned in 1929, the stadium had seen slow development due to financial difficulty and the impact of the war on the city, particularly the Hull Blytz In 1951, Boothberry Halt railway station opened to serve supporters travelling to the stadium. It would ultimately close in 1986 because of safety concerns.

Boothferry Park would be the Tigers' home for 56 years before they left for the new KC Stadium in December 2002. By this time, the old ground had fallen into disrepair and the Taylor Report had enforced its ruling that clubs in the top two divisions of English football must be all-seater. Although Hull fell outside the restrictions at the time, playing in the fourth tier, it showed the club's ambition to progress.

City were joined at the new ground by Hull FC of the Super League. In 2006, the stadium was named "Best Ground" at the inaugural EFL Awards. When its sponsor, the KCOM Group, rebranded in 2016, the stadium was renamed to the KCOM Stadium, capacity 15,000. It was again renamed in 2021, becoming the MKM Stadium when MKM Building Supplies bought the stadium's naming rights.

Worth trying a "bit" of Geography by looking up Hull's location on a map/atlas. Hull City are one of very few clubs in English football to have no clear rival. Hull do contest the HUMBER DERBY with both Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe Utd, however they are both Lincolnshire clubs and generally consider each other as their main rivals, rather than Hull.

Latest Championship result 1st Feb: Hull City 1 v 2 Stoke City
