To help commemorate the statement "It was comic book stuff" made by caretaker boss, Peter Wild, following Oldham Athletic's courageous win v Fulham in the Third Round upset, Roy of the Rovers Publishers, Rebellion, have produced a Cup themed storyline using the artistic skills of Ben Willsher, featuring the likes of goal scorer Calum Wilson.
Newport County's 2-1 victory over Premier League Leicester City was described as the win of the Round and manager Michael Flynn celebrated this as "Roy of the Rovers Stuff". A limited number of cartoon books have been released to record the success of Newport County, Barnet, Gillingham and Notts County. Children from a local Oldham school, St Paul's Primary were queuing up to have a signed piece of history.
