Oi REF AND LINO!

8th January 2000, Rob Harris was refereeing the Tranmere Rovers and Sunderland game at Prenton Park in an FA Cup 4th rd tie. In the last few seconds of the match Tranmere Rovers' Clint Hall was given a second yellow card, in injury time and he left the field. Somehow the officials didn't notice Stephen Frail taking his place. OOoops! There had been 5 yellows for the home team and 3 for the away.
Eventually the extra man was noticed and there was another confrontation. The game ended in a loss for Sunderland and Peter Reid, manager of the Black Cats, said that the game was controlled like "Billy Smarts' Circus".
The officials were asked to attend an FA Commission along with assistant referee Tony Green and the 4th official David Unsworth. Sunderland appealed.
The Commission came to the conclusion that the officials showed "less than proficiency in applying the laws the game"! Harris had a ban, but Sunderland kept defeat.

On November 9th 1968 when Barrow met Plymouth Argyle at Holker Street, the ref Ian Robinson tried to avoid a Barrow cross. He couldn't move fast enough and was hit by the ball on his heel, deflecting the ball past the helpless goalie Pat Dunne.

The female lino, running to music, is Aleksandra Milojevic, who was running a line in Serbian league game between Novi Pujar and Mapredak.

The young lady above is not Janet Fewings! Janet was a referee's assistant who lined a local Exeter Sunday League match and after the game, she joined the lads in the showers. They didn't complain but somebody did and she was charged by the local FA for bringing the game into "disrepute". The Sunday WAGS weren't too happy either. She politely refused money for photos of her in the showers.
