The two clubs have not met for over 16 years in the league and on the final day of 2003/4 Leeds were relegated, as Chelsea won 1-0, Gronkjaer scored the goal and Lampard was in midfield. The last Premier League meeting was on May 15th 2004, a 1-0 home win for Chelsea. Previously they had drawn in December 2003 at Elland Road 1-1.

In the FA Cup 11th April 1970 Leeds drew 2-2 with Chelsea at Wembley and then there was the notorious FA Cup Final replay at Old Trafford on April 29th (the first Cup Final replay since 1912: Barnsley 0-0 WBA at Crystal Palace, then 1-0 to Barnsley at Brammal Lane).
PLEASE NOTE That Leeds City met Chelsea first in 1905 and they played each other until 1912 in Division Two. Leeds only managed 3 draws and Chelsea won 5. Leeds City later became Leeds United. Read below:
