A friend of mine this morning, as we were cleaning the club house toilets, described the Football Association as bunch of old fogies running our national sport. Well, the behaviour of two players in the FA's flagship team, Gareth Southgate's Senior England, is enough to put years on anyone. Any teacher who has run a huge number of school trips will know full well the perils of taking teenagers away from school, their homes and their parents, for educational and social interaction. Time bomb.

International tournaments in the past have caused some embarrassment for the English international team and not always through what they have produced on the field of play. Poor Gareth Southgate has to use his diplomacy once again, as he reprimands his two young players, Foden and Greenwood for entertaining young ladies in their hotel room. Young and foolish??? Foden, 20, is in a relationship with a 2 year old child and Greenwood is single at 18 years old. They look it! The delightful Icelandic girls, apparently, didn't have a clue about the restrictions of movement and proximity and the lads happy to have films and photos of the occasion taken; it beggars belief
City's, Kyle Walker, was at a party in April, at his family's home and seen cycling out with a friend. In April, on a Tuesday, he is reported to have been entertaining some "ladies of the night" at his home for a cheap hire fee of £2200. The ladies left on Wednesday, the day that the right back urged the public to be responsible and stick to COVID-rules.
Meanwhile, Mahrez and Laporte of Man City have tested positive for the virus.
But it's happening all over the place. Jack Grealish was deeply embarrassed at being photographed at the scene of a car accident on a Sunday in March. He donated "guilty" money to UHS Hospitals in Birmingham for being "out".
Marcus Rojo of Man U, on loan to Estudiantes in Argentina, has been photographed playing cards and smoking with friends on an evening off.
Luka Jovic of Real Madrid flew home to Belgrade (Serbia) to see his pregnant girlfriend. Oumar Niasse, Everton's Senegalese star, was caught with 3 friends in his Mercedes and given a ban for being involved with non-essential travel. He will have to attend a court hearing.
Douglas Costa, of Juve, is pictured with his girlfriend model Nathalia Felix, both on quad bikes in Brazil, while Ashley Young, a 34 year old, now at Inter Milan, Italy, a country with over 70,000 cases and nearly 7,000 deaths, has been reporting on global news about the perils of the illness. Ronaldo has donated money to build two intensive care wards in hospitals in his home country. So it's not all bad.
Pepe of Arsenal has been seen playing football in the local park with friends, Luis and Xhaka were seen out together socially and Lacazette was seen at a car valet.
By the way, what arrangements will the old gentlemen at the FA put in place to bring the youngsters home. Private jet, space suits, ambulance?
How will the Czech national team feel with their shredded squad?
