On January 28th 1961, Luton Town FC played at home, Kenilworth Park, against Manchester City, in an FA Cup, Fourth Round tie. City were 2-6 ahead when the match was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. Ballon d'Or winner, Denis Law continued his form in the replay, scoring five days later, but Luton had the last laugh, winning 3-1, rendering Law's effort irrelevant! Ashworth with 2 and Fleming 1 scored.

Steve McManaman never scored six in a match but was a provider for his Liverpool team mates such as Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen.
