NO FINAL WHISTLE
Summer time reading? Seth Burkett's writing will entertain you and if you have children keen on making it to the top grade in football then get them to read this or if they are still youngsters, read it to them at bed time.
It is recommended for 8 years and older.
This will lead you in the right direction:

The author was a former team mate of Sam Clucas (below) who is presently playing for Swansea City (he is shown below scoring against Arsenal in 2017). Seth uses his own and Sam's experiences to write about a fictional character, Alfie Bennett's career in football.
Sam was rejected at 16 years old from Leicester City where he had been in the academy for 10 years old. From there he played for his county schools and youth teams (Lincolnshire), played for local team Nettleham, where he met Seth, both playing down the left side!
Seth is 27 and was educated at Loughborough University and he plays for Stamford and was also on loan to March Town having been released by Peterborough United at Youth level. Seth then courageously signed a professional contract in Brazil (you will have to get the book to sort that one out), playing "scantily" at Sorriso EC in the Mato Grosso region between 2009-10. Recently Seth has played for the England Futsal squad and published his book "Boy in Brazil" that made the Independent's Book of the Week in June 2014 as well as "No Final Whistle".
Seth is related to Charlie Williams (not the comedian) who also played in Brazil and was a famous player in his day. MORE OF THAT TOMORROW!
Meanwhile, Sam and his football path went through Lincoln City, Jerez Industrial (a Spanish club part financed by the Glen Hoddle Academy), Hereford Utd, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Hull (Player of the Year) and returned to the Premier League with Swansea. Burnley seemed to be interested in him now.
