A chum of mine, "Hello Lew", living in the south west, keeps me up dated with news from Cornish Association Football! So here is the latest about the progress his local club, Truro City has made in their League this season. Perhaps something even more exciting coming up this weekend.
St Albans City make their first ever trip to the Truro City Stadium in the final National League South relegation place. The Saints have struggled at the wrong end of the table for the majority of the campaign, with 18 draws the main reason they go into the final day without destiny in their own hands. They must try and become just the fifth team this campaign to defeat City in the league on their own patch, whilst hoping Enfield slip up at promotion chasers Worthing, while Salisbury do likewise at already relegated Welling United. Manager Ian Culverhouse, who replaced David Noble at the start of December, saw his side sneak past local rivals Hemel Hempstead Town on Easter Monday by a single goal, with Ken Charles on target. In their last away match, the Saints were held to 1-1 draw at Enfield, with Zane Banton scoring.

Latest City FIRST TEAM score, Sat 26 April @ Truro City Stadium in the National League South. Result:
The final game before Christmas saw City travel to St Albans', Clarence Park and come away with a narrow, late victory. A game of few chances, it burst into life just after the turn around when Zane Banton broke the deadlock. Rocky Neal came off the bench to score his customary goal against the Saints to restore parity, before Will Dean struck in stoppage time to send City into the festive period with a win.
