DAVID, ALL AT SEA
On May 10th 1995, Nayim of Real Zaragoza, once of Tottenham Hotspur, lobbed Arsenal's goalkeeper, David Seaman, and gave his side a 2-1 victory in the European Cup Winners' Cup Final. The crowd at the Parc de Princes got their money's worth, as the goal came in the final minutes of extra time at 119 minutes.
Arsenal's John Hartson scored after 75 mins and Esnaider equalised in 67 minutes for RZ, scoring his 8th goal in the competition.

WORTH WATCHING EVEN IF YOU AREN'T A SPURS FAN!
Arsenal had got to the final beating Omonia (Cyp), Brondby (Dk), Auxerre (Fr), Sampdoria (It) winning 3-2 on pens after 5-5 aggregate. Ian Wright was the competition's top scorer with 10 goals. He also scored two, one in each of the semi-final legs while Bould, 2 in 2 minutes, and Schwarz (who? see below-carrying a bit??) scored the others.
RZ beat Gloria Bistrista (Rom), Tatran Presor (Slov), Feyenoord (Ne) and Chelsea 4-3 (Paul Furlong scored 3 goals in the competition). His team went 0-3 down away from home and won 3-1 at home with goals from Furlong, Sinclair and Stein (after 86 minutes), but it was enough.
