BEDALE HAVE THE WURST

On August 13th 1997, Derby County played their first Premier League match at home at Pride Park against Wimbledon, which unfortunately had to be abandoned after 56 minutes due to a floodlit failure. Uriah Rennie had to make the decision when a huge "bang" put out both generators and despite 11 maintenance men on duty nothing could be done. Derby were winning 2-1 but to no avail; they drew in a later match 1-1.

Today, Bedale AFC is making the news again with its HECKfoods Sausages sponsored kit. The company has a factory at Sinderby, North Yorkshire.
WFith the club appearing on "Sunday Morning" TV, and later on "Good Morning Britain", there was good advertising footage of the club's match, away, against Stokesley in the North Riding FL Premier, which the "banger boys" won 11-2.
