The refereeing team for the Super Cup.
Stephanie, 35 years old and married, has made history in France as a referee and she took charge, very successfully, of the Super Cup "Final" last night between Liverpool and Chelsea in Istanbul, a cauldron of passion, if there ever was one.

She has been on the FIFA list since 2009, making her league debut in 2011 in a French Championnat National 3rd Division. She made it to Ligue 2 in 2104 and eventually joined the Elite 19 referees in the country. She then officiated in the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015.

In 2019 she was appointed to the Women's World Cup in France, taking charge of the final in July, the match between USA and The Netherlands.
Stéphanie Frappart will be in charge of Liverpool v Chelsea in Istanbul on Wednesday.
This season, she has also appeared in her first French Ligue 1 game between SC Amiens and RC Strasbourg, a game that ended 0-0, her performance that was greeted by applause. In her career she has taken charge of 143 matches, giving out 362 yellows and 11 reds! You do the Maths!

In 2017, Bibiana Steinhaus, became the first female to officiate in a professional high tier German match when he took charge of a Bundesliga fixture.

Sian Massey-Ellis has been promoted to an assistant referee in the English Premier League.
Swiss referee, Nicole Petignat, took charge of her first European Cup tie in 2004 and so was the first woman to have that honour. She has also refereed UEFA Cup Qualifier in 2009.

Uruguay's Claudia Umpierrez (an appropriate name) is also making her way in the officiating field.

Invited to the game are Italians Annalisa Moccia and Giulia Nicastro both of whom have experienced "sexist abuse" whilst carrying out their duties.
