BISHT, EGG, GOATS, ROCKS

https://twitter.com/i/status/1603495316602630144 Gazza or Messi?

As Messi made his way up to the Stadium's "stage" to collect the Jules Rimet trophy, he was given a black robe (the bisht) to wear by the Emir of Qatar. Messi was then handed the trophy and he walked slowly over to his team mates as they celebrated one of the most iconic moments in football history. But the robe meant Messi's blue and white Argentina shirt was not on full display!!

As he put on the bisht, BBC commentator Guy Mowbray declared it "the night the true king of football is coronated". Ex-Argentina defender, Pablo Zabaleta, replied: "Just, why? Why? No reason to do that." Alan Shearer joked: "I didn't think Infantino was going to let him go either," as Lineker added: "Nobody marked him that tightly during the game!"

(The bisht is a traditional piece of clothing in the Arab world that has been worn on special occasions for generations and is usually reserved for high-profile figures in society such as members of the royal family, politicians, religious scholars and wealthy individuals. Messi qualifies clearly...)

But later!
Messi's World Cup victory (no robe) post has broken "the egg's" record for the most-liked post in the history of Instagram (56 million likes and more). It also sealed Messi’s status in the eyes of many as the “GOAT” (greatest of all time) of football....In the Arab world, some are excitedly calling the bisht-wearing Argentine captain “Sheikh Messi”. That too is a reflection of the affection he enjoys.

While Messi sleeps (with the light on??!!), Buenos Aires rocks.
He has now won every eminent trophy the sport has to offer, including seven Ballon D’Or titles – awarded to the best player annually.
