From March 4th to May 25th United played 6 Cup Ties and 17 league matches. United beat Leicester City 3-1 at Wembley against the odds, with Leicester 4th in the Division One and United struggling to avoid relegation. United were a very expensive team (at that time) and included Charlton, Law and Albert Quixall.....remember him?
On this day in 1967, 46 YEARS AGO, Celtic beat Inter Milan in the European Cup Final in Lisbon, becoming the first British side to take the cup 2-1. DID TOMMY SHOOT FROM 25 YARDS OUT?

On this day, 24th in Turkey in 2005, (YES 18 YEARS AGO) Liverpool stormed the Ataturk Stadium beating AC Milan after extra time, on penalties in one of the great games of European Cup history.
