NON-LEAGUE DAY 2018 AND FA BONANZA
I was at Little Wembley this morning watching thre Hepworth united Junior U14s lose to Upperthong in an end of the season league game; trying to catch up fixtures after the beast from the east. Hope, ref didn't turn up, I had the grandchild on the touchline and so on. Nice game though and our lads played well.
At big Wembley this afternoon the Non-league Finals take place with the FA Vase kicking off at 12.15 between Stockton Town from the National League who beat "locals" Marske United 3-2 on aggregate and Thatcham Town from the Hellenic who beat 1874 Northwich Victoria 3-2 also on aggregate.
At 4.15 the FA Trophy Final takes place with Brackley Town from the National League North from the National League meeting Bromley from the National League.
Tickets for both games were £25 for adults, £10 for concessions and £1 for children. Value for money!
Meanwhile the FA continue to make themselves felt in the nation and beyond, by hosting the UEFA U17 Finals in and arond the Midlands. i am going Rotherham FC to watch the Final between Italy and the Netherlands at 6.15pm. As you know England lost their semi-final on penalties. Doh! Dont know outcome of this final YET! Who cares anyway? It's a freebee!
