A BIT OF HISTORY

Friday, end of the week, time for a bit of consideration. Have a look at this link which will give you Part 1 of the History of Football;

This will then lead you on to other links taking you through the ages. Even if you don't have time today, you can sign up later and follow it through. Whilst this covers all soccer history here are a couple of snippets from the Charterhouse archive.

The Charterhouse School team from 1862/3. Hartshorne with the ball attended the first and decisive meeting of the Football Association.
The boys would have been around 16-18 years old and played either in the Cloister behind them or on Green, the open space in front of them.

and 1881, the FA Cup winning Old Carthusians which beat the Old Etonians 3-0.
