ENGLAND'S UNOFFICIAL WORLD CUP SONG-LIKE AN OLD GIRLFRIEND

Will Frost is an Old Carthusian, an old boy of Charterhouse School which boasts Vaughan Williams and Genesis as two its more famous musical Alumni. There are many others. Will probably wasn't in their league in the world of music but then they weren't very good footballers!! Now Will can claim to be a co-writer of an unofficial England World Cup song!!

Living in West Sussex, his neighbour in the village was Roy Stride, the lead singer of the band "Scouting for Girls" and a co-writer for various other musical groups. Needless to say Will and Roy met on the side of their son's football match, where better; both boys were called Freddie and the dads bonded over touchline bacon rolls and coffee. Will and Roy also play 5 a-side when they are not earning a crust; their footy group includes an Belgian Olympic Eventer, a hairdresser, airplane pilots and a doctor-some of these vital friends at their age. Oh, by the way Graham Le Saux turns out occasionally.

In the post game pub, Will suggested that the England Football Team is like a girlfriend who has let you down, however you can't help but get excited the next time an occasion brings you together, just in case.....Based on Will's observation (and I have to say I know what he means), Roy wrote a song for the World Cup, "England I Still Believe".

Will chipped in with ideas and eventually they have shared rites to the writing credit. Will may make his fortune....as if he needs it!
