I wrote about John White, aka The Ghost of White Hart Lane, who starred for Spurs in their 1960s assault on the English Football League and FA Cup. A book written by his son, Rob, who never knew his father since he was killed when Rob was a baby and he is now a professional photographer and Julie Welch, an acclaimed authoress.

With the Headingley Test match delayed due to rain and some atmospheric instability, my mind turned to thunderstorms and lightning. White was killed by lightning on a golf course, so it seemed appropriate to remind you of his existence and sad death.

In this film there is a short frame of two rings "fused" together, they were John White's finger rings fused by the lightning, as he sat under a tree on his local golf course. It was a huge shock to all supporters of football.
