I wrote about John White, aka The Ghost of White Hart Lane, who starred for Spurs in their 1960s assault on the English Football League and FA Cup. A book written by his son, Rob, who never knew his father since he was killed when Rob was a baby and he is now a professional photographer and Julie Welch, an acclaimed authoress.
http://baileyfootballblog.blogspot.com/2017/07/lightning-strikes-ghost.htmlWith the Headingley Test match delayed due to rain and some atmospheric instability, my mind turned to thunderstorms and lightning. White was killed by lightning on a golf course, so it seemed appropriate to remind you of his existence and sad death.

In this film there is a short frame of two rings "fused" together, they were John White's finger rings fused by the lightning, as he sat under a tree on his local golf course. It was a huge shock to all supporters of football.
